I had a question posed to me the other day I could not answer...

When going thru the ball product specs, many of the balls have similar cores or covers (ie. TX1 and TR2 have same core), but the core strengths are listed as different, why? TX1 core strength is 39 and TR2 is 73 but have same core. Differences in cover strength is easily explained by surface prep (wet sand, power gel, etc).

I just want to have the proper answer when promoting the differences in the lineip.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

Working on an answer for you. I didn't write the specs so I have to ask those that did.

Stay tuned.

The thrust cores are the same, the specs are also the same. There is a slight typo in the one graph, and it will be fixed shortly.

The SX1 and the SR2 cores also have different core numbers. I know the TX1 and SX1 are discontinued, so it really is a mute point, but I was asked, so I tried to find an answer.

Thanks Justin.

The difference in the balls are the covers. The sigma block is the same in the SX1 and SR2, so the resulting core numbers will also be the same. Good pickup, they'll get it sorted.
