I didn't get a specific date, but it will be up on the website later this week. As more info comes out over the next week we'll see what it officially is.

How is this going to compare to the TZ3?

Ok, quadfire core and Z cover, whats different than the QZ1 other than a 4K AB surface vs the 2K?

I guess with a "new name - QZ2", I would expect a more drastic difference. But i still want one - what an awesome color!!!!

Staying MOTIVated...

Sorry but I just don't understand! Is it exactly the same as QZ1 but with 4K polish? What for?

@Dannyracer- Some people don't want to mess with surface adjustments-- just pop some holes in it, and let's go! This ball will offer another look for some customers who either don't want to mess with, or whose pro shop doesn't offer any kind of resurfacing services. Nice looking ball, tho'.

The differences between the QZ2 and the QZ1 are the color and box surface prep. The primary objective of the QZ2 is a cosmetic update of the QZ line.

Before judging, keep this in mind. Motiv is 3 years old. I know that with the quality of releases, this is a really hard thing to remember.

Look at the NeoMark graphics on the Cruel and Recon, there is a defined evolution of increased complexity and awesome factor from the original few balls. The first two color ball was the Cruel, which opened up future capabilities. Motiv has so much potential to do so much with the technologies they have, I greatly respect the fact that they are releasing these to the public in a controlled fashion.

Yes we would all like to see a new core and cover, but the QZ is a great performing ball at a great price point. If it isn't broke, why try to fix it? At the mid price point, color choice is important. The fact that you now have 3 great looking options in the QZ line is not a bad thing.

As I see it, this is a glimpse of the future. Motiv is the only ball manufacturer on the planet capable of a 5 color ball. The future looks bright indeed.
