I have been a huge Track bowler since i started in 2010. I have a particular style that some balls just don't handle.
My Arsenal.
Track 503c
Condition I Use On : Light Oil / Dry Weight : 14 I barely use this but i love it a lot. When i use this ball i change my style to down the right and into the pocket. I only use this when im just warming up or trying to hit a certain split. (so ignore this ball)
Track 607a SE
Condition I Use On : Medium & Heavy Weight : 15 My favorite to bowl with. My main ball as of now.
Hammer Taboo (Original)
Condition : none Weight : 15 Doesn't hook like i need it too. Selling Soon
I have had my eye on Sigma Tour for quite a while. But ever since Sigma Hybrid was announced i was ready for it. Since im selling my Taboo i decided to get a new ball. The Sigma is my style but my perfect match while looking through video after video is the Primal Impulse.
I was going to get the impulse but then i noticed all the reviews on every website were by Motiv Staff which is basically paid fake reviews even though they are probably real. No real reviews i have read yet and the only real one i read was negative saying the ball didn't hook.
Can anyone convince me Primal or Sigma should join my bag or should i just stick with my Track collection.

With the layout you posted on how you want the ball to travel.. I would say Sigma Hybrid. I currently own the Primal Impulse, and for me, it only works that good on THS (slower shot too). It depends on how well you make the ball hook. I can do that shot with the 300T though and you're using a better Track ball for that shot.. so not sure. Sigma Hybrid for more versatility.

Well, I am not a motiv staffer, so i will tell you what I think.
I think every ball in motiv has a purpose and it depends on the purpose you are looking for.
I have the Sigma tour, hybrid and the primal impulse.
The hybrid, doesnt really show itself till heavy oil, I have used it on most different shots< Head mechanic at a bowling alley>. So basically only time this ball comes out of the bag is for really heavy oil. It is a beauty on these kinda shots. The cover stock really gets it thru the front of the lane so it can attack the back end with some force. On a dried up lane, it just burns out. It doesnt finish and doesnt hit as well as the tour.
Which brings me to the tour. This is one of the best balls I have ever thrown. This is my benchmark ball. On a typical THS, or even most medium oil patterns, this ball gives me a little bit of length, while having a nice smooth arch on the backend. It hits harder than just about anything I have seen. Sometimes their will be too much distance and i need it to come out of the slide sooner, so I switch to the impulse.
Finally the Impulse. My god this ball is awesome. When i find that i need a ball to save its energy till the backend of the lane this ball is the one i grab. It goes goes goes, and then flips over till no tomorrow. I have seen this thing destroy racks. I use this ball, when the lanes havent opened up enough for my sigma tour motion that I like the read i am getting. The impulse is an awesome ball, the only bad thing i have seen about it, is that when it starts drying out it flips tooo hard, Leaving me nasty corners.
I have shot 700s with every motiv I have easily, and they all have their place. But what I need to know is what kind of pattern you play on and what you are looking for as far as reaction.
If you play on a wet house and want an arc, I would go with a hybrid. If you play mostly on a ths, I would go with the tour. If you want some distance with stored energy I would go with the Impulse.

For a ball that is going to give you the most consistency and every day use I would say to go with a sigma tour as the versatility of this ball FAR outweighs the primal impulse. The hybrid wouldn't be a bad choice as it is going to give you more overall motion but don't confuse that with more "back end" motion. The sigma tour will be more responsive to friction but the hybrid will handle a much higher volume than the tour. The impulse is not a "bad" ball but it is VERY situational for ME. When I throw it unless I have a significant amount of end lane hook the impulse just wants to push too far and doesn't always carry tens. However with that being said when I do get the right oil breakdown it is a monster.
To answer your question, if you can't trust a motiv ball you can't trust any ball as they are the most consistent and predictable balls on the market. Hands down.

I used to play the same line almost as the photo you posted. Since I was getting incosistent reactions of the equipment that hammer was putting out, I gave Motiv a shot at the beginning of this past fall league & there is no regrets on my end. I have switched to a fully Motiv bag that includes all of the balls that you have mentioned. I find that Motiv Equipment allows me to move more right of where I was used to playing and has an entirely more predictable reaction. Of the balls you named, if you're looking for one to try out for a first time I would recommend the Sigma Tour, I have two (one polished & one box) and they both react well on all conditions. As far as my PI, I havent used it much lately except when the heads are burned up or there is just alot of backend reaction. I havent gotten alot of games on my Sigma Hybrid as of yet since the Raptor Attack has been the first ball out of my bag since it's release. I hope I could be of some help, good luck with whatever you decide..

Sure you can! Ball are ball's. Core and cover stock will make the difference. The new Sigma H is an excellent ball. I use this ball this weekend on a 39th and 36th feet pattern for the Texas State Tournament. On team event use it for the first game, Sigma T for the first 4th frame on the second game and switched to my Cruel 51 LE for the remaining of the game and 3rd game. Finished the set with a 676. For Single I use the same combination and managed a 636 and for the double portion I use both of my Primal I, finishing with a 648.
I'm not a motiv staffer. I have being using motiv since day one. Last year my avg was 183. Finishing Traveling leaque avg for this year is 196, 108 gms.
I never use Track equipment before, but one of my team mate use track. He purchased a Sigma Tour and he is not being disappointed. After watching me bowl this weekend he is going to order the Sigma H. also.
