I am not a proshop owner, nor do I work in one. However, I do my own layouts in the shop I go to. Just not allowed to run the press (OSHA).

I could probably sell a lot of the Pearls this summer in my mom and pop handicap league, if I was a staff member and had one in my hands.

I've already persuaded people to buy 1 Thrash, 4 Raptors, 6 Sigma Tours, and 2 Primal Impulses. If the people that came up and talked to me about the Sigma Hybrid (they wrote down info on the ball to go buy them) the first day I threw it in the winter version of that mom and pop league go out and buy it, then I will have directly affected 5 sales of that ball. That was only the 1 league. I bowl in 4 others. Want me to mention the sales from them, too.

It's getting tiring paying to sell Motiv and working for free. HINT!!!!!!

Oh, and for those that say go work for a proshop; I don't have time to work in a proshop. I have a very nice day job. I sell with my bowling and the ball reaction I can display.

And while I'm on this topic....soap box day....

Proshop owners need to pay attention to their customers. See how they swing and release the ball. Pay attention!

Do you know how many people come to me asking why a ball rolls like it does and doesn't work for them?

An example, from a week ago: A guy comes to me with a Nano that was drilled about 35ish X 4 X 50ish and said it was crap because it stopped hooking at the pocket. I watched him. He throws the ball about 14 mph tops with 350 rpm.

I drew lines on the ball to change it to about 50ish X 5 X 50ish.

For him it gets down the lane a lot better and doesn't stop for him. He loves it.

This happens to me all of the time. All of the time. I correct the reaction of 20-30 balls a year.

You can't just sit in the shop and sell whatever you are getting the best perks on, and only drill it one way, the same way for everyone. Know your customer.

Sir. Respectfully, you are not doing yourself any favors by addressing this topic in this fashion. You would be better off making your case through the normal channels, whatever those are. This job interview on a public forum in a thread that is supposed to be about the new balls is hurting you far more than its helping you.

I have issues with very few people and very few have issues with me, that I know of. There is always the political sniping behind the back, though.
