The thread itself that I am about to post on here probably will shock most of you. I don't want any of you to think that I have any bad blood with MOTIV or that I feel they are a bad company or have bad equipment either.

Recently with starting my new job and having some money in my pocket. I decided that it is time to start bowling again and getting back into the swing of things. I sat down for a very long time to think about this and decided that I was going to try something new.

Which I feel people should do when they feel like in the past they were maybe just kind of stuck or felt like nothing was changing at all.

Needless to say, I felt that way as I would buy every 2 ball pack that was coming out from MOTIV. It wasn't that I felt the ball was bad or that it was terrible equipment, but I honestly felt that the gear started to basically not match up with me any longer and I was trying to force a ball to do something it wasn't intended for at all.

That was one reason to sell all my gear, but the other BIG REASON was for me to pay my bills while I was out of work. I appreciate all of you who did buy from me and are now using my gear. It is great to know it is being used by fellow MOTIVated bowlers.

To get back on track, I decided that I was going to give Roto Grip and Storm the chance with my money. I bought the Storm Tropical Breeze cause I didn't want to get anything too expensive and decided I would test the water and I also moved up to 16 pounds from 15 pounds in the past.

My first series with the ball was 723 and I don't honestly think or can even admit that I ever felt as solid, comfortable, and just right with another ball in my hand. I know the last thing you all would want to see or hear is that I am throwing nothing but Roto Grip and Storm, but it looks like that is the road I am going to take for now.

I still love MOTIV and I think they are a great company. It gave me a lot of good times, but you sometimes have to change in order to get better and I think that right now was the right time to make this change for myself.

If or when it comes down to that I find the new gear isn't working for me and I see MOTIV has stuff that looks like it could work for me.

Then you might see me on here with another 13 ball arsenal!

Roto Grip or Motiv, at least you're still in the game. Sometimes change is what people need. I know someone who did the opposite and switched from Storm to Motiv (he's never been happier [and his pin count has never been higher]).

EDIT: The Sigma Tour you sold me is by far the most solid ball I've ever thrown (just an update :) )

I agree and I think that change is always good for people. Unless of course you change and it is the same old results, then it is time to look at change AGAIN!

As for the Sigma Tour, I am glad it is working for you. I loved the pair that I had and I will always admit that the Sigma core is the best in the MOTIV line. I hope that they never stop using it or decide to retire it at all.

It's just good to see u back that's all. We can just say u and I switched places. Almost a year ago I had nothing but root and storm in my bags now I couldn't stray from motiv if I had to. ULTIMATELY it is your success that matters at the end of the day so do what's best for you. I know I won't hate you for it. Just keep up the good work and keep in touch that's all.

Good luck

Thank you!

The one main thing I want to be is successful and that's why I am testing new things. The hardest change so far has been going up to 16 pounds, but it's paid off!

I'll definitely keep you all updated on my new journey. I am doing summer league this year and it starts next week for 16 weeks.

It should be fun!

well FUPA, that is your choice and we all respect that. I too was the opposite, i came from being very successful with Storm to trying motiv and staying with motiv fully. I have hit a plateau with motiv but it isnt the equipment for me, its the shot making of myself and missing makeable spares, so i cant blame motiv for that. but i do wish you the best of luck and like one said, at least you are back bowling. if you get any storm ball though, you need a hyroad LOL

I don't see it hurting for a full season and if it isn't what I expected or really want for myself. Then I will give some thought into doing a few other things, but so far it is going pretty good for me.
