I've been trying to decide for awhile which ball I want to get to replace my GT1 which I recently sold because I moved down in ball weight. I wanted to get a ball that has that similar motion as my GT1 (strong arc motion). The layout that had on it was the pin right of ring finger and CG was stacked straight below it (sorry, I'm not too good with that dual angles layout that everyone's been doing now). I did try a demo ball of the Raptor Attack several times and didn't like how it moved for the most part but it was a pin above bridge layout so I think that's why it didn't match up well with me. Pro shop did have a Sigma Hybrid demo ball but I never got the chance to try it before they closed shop for the summer. So which ball would be the better one to play 12 to 7 and still have that familar look as the GT1?

A hybrid with a drilling close to your vertical axis line should give you the look you are asking for. The attack would probably difficult to achieve that kind of motion due to the clean nature of the cover also with it being asymmetrical it's going to rev up a lot faster and change directions quicker. The hybrid core cover combo creates a strong arching roll on heavier volumes so if you drill it with a weaker layout and raise the surface finish you will be able to achieve that similar motion.

Sigma Hybrid was the one that I was leaning toward to because of the lower differential and it probably won't jump off the dry backend like the Raptor Attack would do. I haven't bowled in over a month and probably going to start practicing next week and on of the bowling centers I go to usually have Motiv demo balls so I'll check if they have that Hybrid for me to try out.
