For 3 years, MOTIV has been intensively engineering new cover concepts in an effort to find something truly special - something that would inflict serious damage on the backend. After hundreds of tests, the code was cracked, and MOTIV is now introducing new technology called Whiplash™ Hybrid Reactive. MOTIV has merged this outstanding new cover with a new Sinister™ asymmetric core to create a ball motion that is absolutely devastating. This is all packed into the new MOTIV 2Cruel.

Designed for use on heavy oil patterns, the 2Cruel provides a motion that is very long with an explosive backend reaction. It almost seems impossible to get a motion like this on a heavy volume shot, but the 2Cruel does not disappoint.

Tournament bowlers will be able to showcase its devastating power on heavy oil in later games when the heads get beat-up and oil pushes down the lane. This is where the 2Cruel is engineered to dominate. The average league bowler will be crazy about this ball because it will allow them to conquer a house shot with incredible ease.

Shelf appeal? Wow! The black and blue 2Cruel is so tough looking that it practically infuses bowlers with a new level of confidence and attitude.

Condition: Heavy Oil
Core: Sinister™

Weights: 14# - 16#
Ball Color: Blue / Black Pearl
NeoMark Color: Gray / Red

WWRD: 7/18/2012

Nice vid, Justin! This ball looks like a beast for oil! If you look at the spectrum of reactions in all the Motiv equipment, they seem to have the gaps filled!

Great vid just need to get a average stroker to bowl with the same ball on the same lanes at the same time to show that the balls fit more players than just the 495 rpm guys.

Agree with badbeard. I enjoy watching all the videos but learn very little from them since I can't compete with 495/19. Also, when comparing one ball to the other both should have the same drilling. Otherwise its apples and oranges like the two different drillings shown for the 2Cruel and Hybrid in this video. I do appreciate the effort put into these videos and the time it takes to put it all together. Hopefully a range of bowling styles will post their videos so a wider spectrum of styles can see what this or any other ball can do. That is the one thing I like about Brunswick videos: Different styles on different conditions. Makes it easier to decide what may help one's game.

The ball speed/rev rate ratio and tilt is what is important. Someone that throws average of 15MPH with a 390 rev rate can expect to see the same reaction as shown in the videos. Obviously as your speed rev ratio balances toward the speed side, the total amount of reaction will go down proportionally at the same surface preparation. Add cover friction and a 16MPH 320 RPM player can see the same results.

Well put JW.

It would be neat to have someone put together a chart detailing the relationship between speed/rev for relative ball strength with a base layout pattern, based on 'x' tilt. I suppose it could be a 3-D chart if you were to add tilt on the 'z' axis.

Anyway, very nice work on the video.

Where can i get a two-color (half & half) hybrid? That looks way cooler than the swirl/mix of the preferred process!

Just slightly off topic.
As someone who has'nt had a hybrid ball before.Thou this ball
is going into my bag as soon as they arrive here in Australia..
The two colours. Is 1 colour a solid mix & the other a pearl mix??
Or is the whole ball a complete hybrid coverstock??
So then it wont matter what sort of pattern (swirl) of colours there is..

Cheers Peter

My proshop already has my 2 Cruel on order. I will do a vid as soon after the release date as possible...will need to get it punched, tested, and weight hole drilled (if needed). Of course, my vid won't be as polished as Justin's but, hopefully, it'll serve to show what the ball will do in the hands of a speed dominant/rev-challenged stroker.

I'm an old coot throwing (I guess) @14 - 15 MPH and a rev rate @ 250 - 300. Neither one has ever been accurately measured. The best comparison I can make is that my speed, rev rate, and sot shape like a lot like Motivgirl"s. Of all the folks I've seen on Motiv videos she most closely approximates my approach to bowling.
