I'm 21 years old and a year and a half ago, I broke my spine. Now that I'm getting back into bowling, I've found that I can only use a 12 lb ball and my speed is comfortable around 13 mph. I've been thinking about getting a motiv ball and need some adice as to which one would work the best for me. More information: With a house ball, I usually bowl down and in at the second arrow. I tend to play late a night for the deals in my area and the lanes are usually broken down and unpredictable. I was thinking of a qz2 backdraft, a recon, an ascent pearl, or an impulse with a weak drilling. Any comments or advice would be great. Thank you.

My personal suggestion would be either a qz2 backdraft or even a thrash. If you are trying to play down and in you dont want something thats going to be too clean in the front part of the lane so you can control the breakpoint. You also dont want something that is too weak because once you start pushing oil around your going to get over and under. IMO this would rule out the ascent pearl, the impulse and the recon.

The thrash is going to give you a very smooth continuous ball motion that a stroker/tweener will fall in love with on a ths. It will let you play straighter angles and rely on that predictable motion every time. This is my personal favorite release.

The backdraft is going to be less overall hook than the thrash and have more of an angular motion at the breakpoint. It will be perfect when the lanes transition and you can move in and hook it. Don't be fooled though this ball works great on any condition because of its predictable ball motion. The sigma tour and the backdraft are probably the most versatile balls ive ever thrown.

If there is anything else I can do feel free to ask myself or anyone else on the forum they will be glad to help.
