** http://youtu.be/1UcZ5PJVuGw ** The new Primal Scream is very clean down the lane with a vicious backend motion on medium to heavy oil. It is packed with raw energy that is powered by a new core and cover. The result is a high performance beast that delivers outstanding entry angle and bull-dozing continuation through the pins.
MOTIV recently released new Whiplash™ cover technology on the 2Cruel and that same powerful shell is utilized on the Primal Scream in a solid reactive formula
tion. This cover gets down the lane with ease and explodes with untamed aggression at the backend of the lane. The black and neon green cover is sanded to 4000 grit to compliment the chemistry of the shell.
The new Impulse V2 core on the Primal Scream is a modified dual-density Impulse core. We brought the RG down from 2.60 to 2.55 to provide exactly the right amount of length to enable the Whiplash™ Solid Reactive shell to fully engage at the backend of the lane.
Performance Target: Medium-Heavy Oil / Late Hook Core: Impulse™ V2 Cover: Whiplash™ Solid Reactive Weights: 12# - 16# Ball Color: Black/Neon Green NeoMark Color: Gray/Neon Orange Finish: 4000 Wet Sand

Very slick.Great job as usual. One thing I noticed when I threw the Primal Scream, the pin carry is insane.Best pin carry of any MOTIV ball, and I have thrown them all - 1. The ball seems to get back from anywhere on the lane. And there was never any quit on it's path to the pins. The Primal Scream will be a great addition to the line.

Nice vid, JW. (as always)
What can you say about a ball that has the PAP migrate toward the pin versus a ball that wants to migrate to the PSA?

It locks onto the RG plane value of the PAP and follows that plane in migration around the Low RG axis.
The only way to get a ball to migrate to the PSA is to add energy, as in a DeTerminator.
Honestly, this is quite a complex topic that would best be handled with a pen and paper to facilitate diagrams.

I suppose I knew that, after reading so much on bowling chat.
I guess I was trying to figure out why most of my stuff locks into an RG closer to the pin, as opposed to one that locks around the PSA.
It must be my choice of VAL angle and hole placement, as most of my stuff is around 40*, and if it isn't early enough, I add a P3 (which does the trick most of the time).
I think it speaks to the lack of variety in my ball reactions, mainly that bowling on THS most of the time, I want the same shape, just more or less hook within that shape.

I'm a little confused about the one with the hole 4.5" down the VAL. I thought the suggested distance was only 2". Can someone clear that up? Great looking ball.

When using larger VAL angles on symmetrical balls, a way to keep the low RG axis nearer to the pin and intended layout is placing a hole 6.75" from the pin on the desired drilling angle.

New Motiv Owner: I have purchased and use the Cruel C51 for med to med-heavy oil, 2Cruel for heavy oil, and the Ascent for med-dry to dry. What is the Primal Scream going to do for me on med-heavy oil that the C51 does not? I enjoy the new toy thrill of buying a ball, but shortly after, it has to still serve a purpose. If I am building a 4-ball arsenal, where does the Primal Scream fit into it, or does it if I already have C51 and 2Cruel? Thanks

Thanks I couldn't tell you how the Primal Scream will differ (given I don't own one), but I can tell you that you should strongly consider a Sigma Tour if you're building a 4 ball arsenal.

I'm picking mine up today. Now, if only I could get some suggestions on drilling, I would be golden!
