Nice vid Kevin. Your vids are getting a lot better IMHO. Can you post your stats again and how you drilled this ball?

Very good looking ball and it hooked a lot more than I thought it would, nearly as strong as the Scream. Several questions though. What was the lane condition? Were the compared balls drilled the same as the Venom? What video editing software did you use? I'm in market for one and just curious to know what used? Motivgirl seems to have good video editing software too and I wonder which one she uses.

I have thrown about 10 games with the Venom Strike. The ball is all I expected it to be.Cleared the heads and mid-lane without me forcing to the spot.Used it on a 39'/42' house shots. The ball rolled from the breakpoint to the pins with a smooth arc. Never got any drastic overreaction.
The ease through the lane, let me play between 3-4 arrow with confidence. This really helped my loosen my swing. Knowing that from hand to breakpoint the ball was not going to burn up early. The Venom Strike is more even and continuous than the Sigma Tour. With the low diff.I didn't have to feed it through the pattern. It's stronger than the Thrash for me.
The Venom Strike is best for medium to medium light oil. It's not really a dry lane ball. It's a great ball to use when the lanes start to transition. The low diff.keeps the ball from flaring too much.
This ball fills the gap between my Sigma Tour and Thrash.

Motivgirl seems to have good video editing software too and I wonder which one she uses. The video was shot on a THS that I would classify as "Light" volume. I drilled the Venom Strike in this video 85* x 5" x 45*. The Primal Scream is 70* x 4 1/2" x 30* with a P3 hole, and the 2 Cruel is 60* x 5" x 40*, all at the box finish. When all is said and done, I will probably put a layer of polish on my Venom. I tend to adjust the box finish on most of my equipment to a higher grit because of the way my ball speed matches up with my rev rate. The Video editing software I used was Cyberlink Powerdirector 11. I found that this program was really intuitive to use. This was my first time using it, and I was really happy with it. --Kevin--

This ball fills the gap between my Sigma Tour and Thrash. I agree, it's not a dry lane ball - for me it also fits right in between the Sigma Tour and Thrash. I really believe the Venom will be a ball that I will end up using a whole lot. I like to throw the Venom on the fresh because it really blends the pattern out for me - it is real smooth and predictable. When the lanes break down, then I'll typically "ball up" to a 2 Cruel or Scream to maintain my carry. I can't wait to try out my Venom on a variety of sport patterns! --Kevin--

My first venom is drilled at 60 x 5 x 30 and i took it down to 2000 its my favorite surface. I thew it this morning on scorpion and it went a long way and just to test the ball i took it down to 500 and it was a great look however surface that low is highly ineffective for continuation through a block. If i would have had my other venoms ordered i think the one i want to do pin up at 4 inches with a hole would of been perfect to start with and then transition to the 5 inch up.
Great great bowl here by motiv.
