I wouldn't count on a urethane release, at least any time soon. This was a previous discussion and it really is a niche item.

The Orange Recon Rx1 was my 1st Motiv ball and it replaced my urethane "weather co" ball. I would say it covers the same number of boards as the urethane ball did, but has a more angular shape. It would be interesting see an Ascent Solid with a week layout compared to a urethane cover ball.

I don't see it as much a niche market anymore than the Sniper. Which BTW is the best ball purchase I made all bowling season. Not making spares will kill you and my spare misses are way down.

I believe a urethane cover stock ball would be a beneficial release. Atleast one with the "Cruel 2" core. That last four years I have bowled with Urethane strictly in league play. I may not have thrown massive numbers. But, when when the hits were consistent. I managed to have good numbers. Finished each year at 220. One of those years I used Urethane Col. Stingray- Roto polyester Midnite blue- Roto RC5 RUBBER in a scratch league the entire year. I led for most of season in avg. While everyone was burning up the track and dying out by the middle of the second game I never had to change much more than ball speed. Summer league was Motiv Orange Recon with the Col. Urethane. One on each lane. Because of the oil machine setting up a consistent pattern. We did move after each two game set. It was the same pattern. Both balls were a complement to each other. Did not have to change ball speeds or boards. It all comes down to the numbers of saleability. Will MOTIV step up... I believe Motiv nation will be every Motiv bowlers bag. When they do I want to be the first one to have the Jewel.

Want to see a urethane release. Would be great a compliment to my Orange RECON. So I can retire Stingray. Practically the first ball out of my bag.
