After seeing a few TZ3s come up for sale recently and doing some research on it, can anyone give some insight on why this was just an international release? Just wondering why it wouldn't be considered a popular release stateside. Where would it fit in the current lineup?

I'm guessing just under the QZ2 Backdraft - I use mine when the lanes start getting toasted.

Probably my favorite Motiv ball so far. I have another sitting NIB that I couldn't pass up when I found it. Great for light oil shot, hits very hard for a light oil ball. It's got a different movement than my Silver Recon, similar strength but my Toxin on the other hand out hooks it a ton. I would say somewhere in the Ascent range, maybe a bit stronger. Great ball if you can get one, I too saw those on eBay. Well worth the price. Not sure why Motiv after seeing how well they worked for people and how popular they became among staff that they didn't release a second version.

I have been told it cant be re-released. I believe (but told this) that it has to do with the patent or specific specs of the ball. There were probably words in the contract with the overseas purchaser that prevents the re-release. The core is a tweaked version of the Thrust core with the QZ1 cover.
I have 2 (now) and LOVE them. i have asked for a couple of years for them to remake it, but have been told no. Strong core and weak cover that, for me is very versatile. Only issue with the ball is it can not be used for PBA competitions because it was not available for purchase to the general public...
maybe some day they will remake it...
