The Motiv Ball Guide is confusing when it comes to the Ascents. The ball guide shows the balls in the "delayed hook" column while the write up on the balls itself says it is a "late" hooking ball. Is it delayed or late? And, do the different colors matter performance wise?

all 3 colors have the exact same reactions.

i would go with a delayed hook on it like what the ball guide says. I have a few of them. LOVE THEM!
I find them to be more delayed than late. Late are more angluiar<sp?> into the pocket. While they do have turn, i find them not to be as anguilar<sp x2?> into my pocket!

I personally see them as delayed, but not late. Balls in the "late" category for me are characterized by being very fast response. I don't see the Z shell as a fast response shell. Moderate? Yes. Fast? No. You can make them respond a bit faster with coverstock and layout tricks, but I just think they are great dry lane, moderate response balls. Just my opinion.
