You are right Jellert1. But my comment wasn't meant to be directed only at those with spinners. Basically, if you have a shop resurface your ball to "x" grit, test it out. If the ball is skating, have the shop go down in grit (or use a scotch-brite pad by hand). If the ball is hooking too early, have the shop go up in grit (or do it by hand). You don't have to personally own a spinner to understand surface adjustments.
