I recently bought the Octane online, when I took it out of the box i noticed something on the M, just wanted to know if this is something I should be worried about, and if so, what do I need to do to fix or resolve this issue.

I would be worried! Surely it will be replaced, don't think its supposed to do that. Did you register it for the warranty?

Not yet. Talked to the local proshop guy here, not a motiv rep though, and he said might not be an issue. Still love motiv, but seeing that is annoying especially since i do have to either order online or drive 2 hours to a shop that readily carries motiv stuff.

You should be worried about that, and that should be covered under the warranty. I have heard rumors of the Neo-Mark logos separating from the cover, though I personally have never seen it. I am not a MOTIV rep, but I've used them exclusively for several years and their customer service is spectacular. I'm sure MOTIV will make it right.

Just curious, has it been drilled already?

It has, been drilled, consulted with the proshop staff first. Wanted to try it, as I said with having to order it online, figured if I needed to return it then it would have been 2 to 3 week turnaround on it and well that will almost be in time for the Tribal Fire (which i want badly), so decided to see how this one actually looked on the lanes. Also if Warranty is going to cover it out of the box, I'm hoping it would also cover it if that happened after throwing 3 or 4 games.

Am surprised we haven't heard a peep from Motiv about this problem. A lot of interested parties out here to see how this is handled.

Although I am a staff member, I cannot speak 100% for Motiv but I do believe if you call Motiv HQ they will take care of you & replace the Octane. As others have noted over the years, Motiv customer support is excellent. Always friendly & eager to help.

Dan Wilbur is awesome... he is what the "big brands" are missing.
