There will now be more than 2 of us throwing MOTIV here in Reno. People have been asking and paying attention. The Pro Shop I use is actually recomending MOTIV now. With all the lessons I give and houses I bowl in, it only took a few months to make some new believers out here. There goes my local tournament advantage.

I will be throwing MOTIV in Reno also (I did for doubles last year also - 681). But this year, I have no choice, thats all I have in my bags is MOTIV!!!
Gotta love this stuff..
Stay MOTIVated...[/color]

Cat... Maybe it's my monitor, but that color sucks! I could barely read it! This posting turned into a font color issue! Go GREEN!!

Jeff, I must agree, that color is not easy to read.
I cannot wait for nationals this year, I am very excited with the arsenal I am taking, I believe that it will give me the best shot at scoring well. In past years, I have had too many options and too many decisions to make. This year, all MOTIV and a nice well rounded arsenal make it easy to decide.
Well, actually I do have one decision, I can only take 5 and I have 7....
Here is what I am looking at now GT1 SR2 SX1 TR2 Target Zone.
I might be able to throw in the QZ1 instead of the SX1 and I am just not sure about the TX1 at this point.
I am open to suggestions if anyone has any.

As far as what to bring to Nationals is really a tough one, not knowing how you throw it. I was watching a good friend of mine a Sr. Tour Player on Wed and Thursday, here's my take. The team event he thew a Virtual Energy pin up, and had his worst set and really never had a great look, when he switched to the Onyx Vibe and stayed in tight, the look and carry was great. Afer watching other players, anything outside of 6 was OB dead, unless you like pounding 3 pins all day and are one of the best wash out spare shooters around. So, one agressive ball and the rest medium with different layouts should be the best, keep in mind the Stadium plays fast and the back ends have a tendancy to get a little snappy. I don't bowl until April, but my plan is the GT1, SR2, and the QZ1 Red, should play well, that's my best guess.

I am anxious to hear how everyone does in Reno, what they throw, how they played the lanes, etc. Taking 5 balls (actually 4 + spare ball). One will be a 500 sanded TR2 to burn alittle spot in during Team warmups. Probably use it for the first game and make adjustments accordingly. Will most likely have two (2) SR2's, one box finish and one either 1000 or 2000 sanded or maybe even scrubbed. Final ball will most likely be a SX1 box finish w/pin up for length. That's my game plan right now but I don't go until June so I have time to experiment. Anyone & everyone, please post your Reno experience after you get back. Best of luck to everyone going out there.

UGH!!!! So wish I had a team this year to go to Nationals. It would figure when I get hooked up with Motiv and their awesome equipment is the year my team drops LMAO!!!! Can't wait to see the results when I do get on a team again. Have shot a lot of 1850's to 1900's with crap equipment lol. Looking for that 2000+ with Motiv.

We may need a bowler in May (25/26) for nationals. I don't know where to look for one, the new USBC Website is so poorly designed.
