Hello all, first time poster long time lurker. A little about my game. Roll a 197 average now up from 184(since I went Motiv in November) Have a SR2,TX1(polished up) and GT1(polished up twice). 15lbs Throw about 16.5 mph.Like to stand middle of lane or alittle left of that and throw to the left of 1st arrow. And probably most importantly,I am VERY remedial when it comes to bowling "lingo",as you will see.
I have some questions concerning my equipment and just wanted to see if there was any help out there for me.
Basically,I am looking for a little more backend "umph" with my balls. I have a goofy layout(I think) as when I throw normal layouts I roll over the thumb hole,so my proshop guy(very good by the way) set me up with the pin in the middle of my grip and located around the 9 if you were looking at a clock, the center of ball is in between ring finger and thumb hole. my track is from the 11 to the 3 and thru my ring finger hole most times. As i stated I had to polish up GT a lot as I would have it burnout on me,so I now use it on dry lanes, and I can't "swing" it at all. TX is y most consistant ball, and SR most aggresssive..Right now my backends are about a 6 on 1-10 im lloking for advice to get that up to a 9or10 :D Maybe someone out there has seen a situation like mine or has a tip to help.Sorry for lack of info on my part Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks in advance.

Some of the current balls make a smoother transition with certain layouts on them. The most backend I have gotten thus far is out of the SR2. The stuff on the horizon may be a little bouncier, but I can't tell you for sure because I haven't thrown it yet.

As far as tweaking what you have, a bit of shine and some P3 or P4 holes may make em rip a bit more.

You mentioned funky layouts because of your roll, it would be hard to judge without any pics and more info. If you can get a few pics up go ahead, and I'll do the best I can for you.

To get this to work, you need to have it hosted somewhere. there has to be something like "www.picassa.com/IMG00032-20100418-1944". If you can't get the image hosted you can email it to me as well.
