Thanks everyone. This was a great experience with the best of friends. Just to let everyone out there that cares, I started with a box surface and lane oil used pin under middle of the the fingers TR2. I was standing 13 throwing between 6-8 and throwing about 17 mph or a little slower. In game 2 I changed to a SR2 pin up 6" pap box finish. I moved in the 5th frame to standing board 32 and throwing over 17 board. I am not a straight player so getting in was a lot easier for me. If anyone has questions feel free to pm me or post.
Thanks,

Congrats on some great bowling under very challenging conditions. 3400+ is huge, especially @ Nat'ls.
Question: where was the CG on the TR2 & SR2's you used? And where, if any, were the weight holes? Appreciate the info & again, super bowling!

Ken,
AWESOME bowling!! Was so nice to see the MOTIV shirt on the news page of the USBC website.
I do have a question, though. We, as bowlers, often second guess what we did afterwards, ven if we bowl well. You obviously had a good look, but is there anything you would have done differently? ball/alignment/etc than what you did.
I am going out in mid May and have a rev rate, ball speed, etc similar to Riggs. I have seen him play a few times (in person and in video). I know you know him, so what would you recommend as a plan of attack (with MOTIV equipment, of course), based on that type of game.
Riggs used a pin up Invasion with 1000 AB finish. I was thinking pin up SR2 with similar finish because RG and diff are similar.
Thanks in advance.
Jeff

Jeff, If you are similar to riggs, I would start with something pin low and a little surface playing outside. When that look goes away, immediately move inside and I highly recommend the SR2 with a pin up. After team event 2 of the guys on our pair are going to go and drill up the SR2 that I threw the same way. I will post pictures of the balls I threw so you can kind of have an idea what I was using and hopefully I will put youtube videos of the 2 balls that I threw in team event.
Thanks,
Ken Kempf

Surface is key on the fresh shot out in Reno. The shot breaks down very quickly though and you constantly have to stay ahead of the moves or you will find yourself in trouble. D/S the shot opens up alot if you are able to get deep enough.
