I figured our fellow Motivnation members overseas might be able to use a video showing what the ball can do, plus with some of them here stateside I figured this might help a few people out selecting what to do with them. Enjoy!

Looks like you can get both down the lane easy enouph, It seemed like you didn't have to over throw them. I would like to try one if I can sell a few of my balls that are collecting dust. I think it would be a nice compliment to my QZ1, and not have to go as deep as my TR2. They are a little hard to find, can you point me in the right direction of a good online shop.

Thanks Justin,

Michael

Ace Mitchell has them in stock in 14, 15, and 16 last I checked. If you can't find one let me know and I'll see what I can find out for you.

How do you think I should punch it up, my reco QZ1 has a great reaction but can start to read the friction early and I find myself in front of the ball return by the third game. I would like the hocky stick reaction with the ball going way long. That way the QZ1 will be smooth and continus and the TZ3 will go long and sideways. Make it kind of a toy for league :) Hopefully push through the midlane. I'll check on Ace in the morning. Check out my vids on you tube and facebook for some what of an idea for me.

I know what drills do that for me but I have zero experience with the TZ3, and I'm only going to get one, and want to get the ball close to what I'm looking for.

Thanks Justin,

Michael

The cover is the same on the QZ and TZ, the differential is significantly higher in the TZ. The Rico will tend to be early when you see friction.

TZ3 I'd lean towards a 70x30@5.5" for that hockey stick look. Get a long pin if they have one so you can pop a P3 in it to smooth and dial carry. If it gets a bit funky at the spot use surface first, then a hole if needed. I had to touch my flippy one a tick with a 1k Abralon to make it read the spot right.

Ok sorry for bugging you again but I'll be getting two RX1's on the 16th, and since you've had a chance to drill a few I hope you can help me out. I need on for cheetah and other sport shots that I can play way out or up the boards like with the plastic, and have a similar reaction. Thinking of a boomer layout, that way I will take a big chunck out of the top of the weight block and make it more Symmetric, but still get a little flair. Get a nice mid lane roll and smooth backend. (Rhino Page Viper champ) The other I'm not sure yet, something for the house shots. As you can see in the vids I like playing straight as possable when I can. But with my rev to speed it's impossable to do on house shots. So I end up playing my B or C game. I think that's why I do so well on sport shots vs house shots.

Thanks Justin,

Michael

Depends on how experimental you are willing to get.

Need speed, rev rate, and PAP if you know them, I'm sure they are in another thread somewhere but I'm not sure which one.

16-17MPH, 375-440 RPM, Up the back pap is 5 3/4 x 1/8 down. Around the ball pap is 5 1/4 x 3/4 up. I usualy use my 5 1/4 x 3/4 pap for laying out balls because when I need the ball to be more tame with the up the back release it makes the pin further from the pap. I wouldn't mind doing some exotic layouts because I have a feeling I will be punching up more then just two in the next few monthes. I have tried almost everything from pin in pap to pin up agenst track, but haven't tried full roller or boomer yet. I did see a guy use a Jigsaw with a full roller laout on cheetah and I was amazed how easy he was able to controll it. He really comes around the ball, and it just sort of layed in the pocket for him. Any how hope that helps.

Michael

OK have two RX1's and one TZ3 coming friday afternoon. I had to pull some strings but got the job done. I'm ready to put some holes in em, and get some games in. I'm going to do the whole thing on camera and post it hopefully friday night. I need to get some idea of what they will do on the cheetah (RX1's) bc sunday I'm bowling in a small turny with the 36' senior pattern (much like the cheetah). Hopefully I can con one of the guys at the bowling center to put it out.

Wish me luck,

Michael
