Thanks Justin, That video was awesome, I am for sure going to pick one of these up, one for my dad, but I also might get one for myself. August 13th seems so far away.

FRIDAY the 13TH is only a little over a week away. For those that don't have a Motiv, it will be a CRUEL world.

I did not see Danny qualify this w/e but I did watch his first match this morning in the finals & he was using a SX1 in that match. Do not know if he stuck w/it all day or not but he has been bowling very well & he has been using some Motiv equipment so that's a good thing.
Do not know for sure how a Rico drilling will work on the Cruel but I plan to drill one of mine out w/pin under bridge & MB kicked out 45-50 degrees. Should work good on sport patterns. Good luck, seniorstroker, i too, need the extra help I believe this ball will provide.

I'm very interested in picking up a Cruel, but the length rating of 21 has me a little concerned. I was hoping it was a little longer (the stats themself are not that different from the TR2 I have). Now that you've thrown it some I have a question. Do you think a high polish will get me the length I want, or would it be worth considering taking it up to a 4000 finish?

I have only been able to throw my Cruel a few games and am still seeing if I need to tweak it in any way. However, it does clear the fronts very nicely. It comes out of the box with a slight shine to it. Sanding or polishing should allow you to really fine tune it for a desired reaction. With that said, I'll throw this out there. If you think previous Motiv's hit hard, then your in for an awakening when you throw the Cruel. I have had the ball go 1/2 pocket a few times and just watched it shred racks. Mine tends to leave alot of pins on the deck when going half pocket. The pins also stay low, which creates some great mixing action/carry action.

I was able to get my Cruel down the lane easy with powergel Polish. I used it about three games on a light house shot and know it was to strong for the viper tonight. I took it home, Polished it, and was able to play the track area, with a great smooth long strong reaction. Drilled it 55x5x10 and like it alot. Had not issue getting the ball down the lane tonight. Carries like crazy on the light hits. I have to keep it light because it can break hard and not stop hooking and go though the face. So I have to send it and trust it. First imperession is lots of hook but can be tuned with some surface prep, to your desire.
Hope everyone enjoys this awesome ball, It looks sweet.
Michael
