Hi guys, need some help here for re-drilling my raptor.

the current layout of my Raptor does not seem to turn the corner fast enough. I think the layout is the problem @ 55* x 3" x 60* P2 hole 2000 grit, the driller said it was good for my style or playing straight and 10~15out to 8~10 arrow style, but I'm not sure of that anymore

on a perfect shot, it does the job, but more so less -than-perfect, it's still hooking entering the pocket, but still gives me quite a bit of strikes.

My ball speed is 18mph at the monitor with 270 rpm, more on speed dom. side.
PAP 4 3/4", Up 3/4" (my tilt and rotation are changing since i've taken more lessons but more or less in the medium range)

after the frustration, I studied a bit on the dual angle method, I did came up with something sharp like 55* x 4" x30* or the strong 40*x 4"x40* on the Motiv's recommended layout maybe a P2 or P3 hole? i would like this ball to play inside bit more (THS) on fresh with defined breakpoint, any suggestion are well appreciated! Thanks in advance!

My only thought would be to keep the VAL bigger than 30*; the response on the backend may be too quick, more like a jerk-set type of response.

Maybe a 55* by 4 by 40" would be OK, or if you wanted it sharper, a 45* by 4 by 45* with a p2 hole would do the trick.

What are your span measurements, BTW. I have a raptor at 65* by 4 by 35* i'm not super happy with, and would be willing to trade with you (if yours is 15#).

Mick

i am very speed dominate and I re drilled mine Raptor 55/3/25 + p3 hole stills plays down the boards but strikes a lot. what I would suggest is to go to bowlingchat.com post your stats on the layout section for MO and Friends and ask for your sweet spot give that in a post on this site and let the guys do their magic

Thank you guys for the recommendation I think I will drill it 50 x 4.5" x 40, this beast should have a defined yet manageable backend. It tends to roll out on arcing shot, too much hook at 3" playing down and in.

Mick, I would love to trade but now I moved to hong kong :(
Thanks for the offer though.

I wonder whAt kind of layout would be perfect for a LE with control yet defined backend. Any suggestion?
