I'm kind of interested in the layout, does this layout make the core pull the ball down the lane or simply just kills the reaction of the core?

Not sure how this layout will work. Sounds like it will go pretty long but everything will depend on how hard you throw it & what surface you use it on. Tried to watch the vid but it said it was removed by the user. Also, confused on how RyanGuff can post using Hud's signature line.

Low VAL angles combined with long pins creates forward roll after friction is encountered. A layout like this is a good way to tame and control the backend.
Be advised that using a 15* VAL angle does invite trouble in instances where people track high, by pulling the bowtie up enough to where the ball will flare over the thumb.

I've been considering the recon since I really like the QZ2 with the 70x2.5x40 p3 x hole. I want to stay in the track after it gets to dry for my QZ2,maybe a recon with a 75x2x25 ? I DON'T need a ball to open up the lane but one I can stay up the righty road. thoughts???
speed 16-17 revs 400 tilt 10* a/r 30-70

speed 16-17 revs 400 tilt 10* a/r 30-70 You could shell down with an RX1 laid out the same, this will give you a similar motion but less overall by a few boards. Otherwise get into a higher angle sum length and smooth layout, like the 70x60@5.25".
