I was bowling a tournament where they put down a 42 ft high volume sport shot. I used my original Cruel drilled 60x3.5x45 and I got a good reaction in the fresh. I made the cut to bowl the next day. I tired the same strategy with the cruel but when the ball reached the back end it couldn't turn the corner. Didn't matter what angle I came from the ball continued to push. I've come to the conclusion that the backends where not properly stripped. I saw some people getting better reads with layouts with lower pin positions. Now I have a cruel le I want to drill up. I generated a layout of 55x5x65. I figured with that layout combined with surface changes would read the mids earlier longer and make a smooth transition to roll and eliminate the problems on the backend. But I am not sure I'm on the right track with this so I seek the opinions of others.
My stats: RH pap: 5 over 1/4 up 18 MPH 350 - 375 rpm 45* - 60* rotation 10* - 13* tilt

Sounds good, just add surface to trigger the first transition if it doesn't happen fast enough.
