Purple QZ-1 arrived today going to the shop to punch it up but unsure of the drilling I want to use.

I like the reaction on Justin's and also the Buddies.

Justin's is 70 X 45 and Buddies is 60X65 or on the drill sheet length layout higher track.

Differences in the reactions between these drillings?
Need some help want it to be super smooth and not much over under
Need some advise for a heavy handed high rev med speed player

Not sure about the Buddies Pro Shop video but I have seen Justin's. Keep in mind Justin can really "grip-it & rip-it" so unless you throw like he does (very rev dominate) you may want to try alittle different layout. The Purple QZ1 is a very smooth reacting ball to begin with so you should not get alot of over-and-under reactions. I have mine w/ring finger through the pin which makes it about a 55x4.25x50 drilling for me. Really like how smooth it rolls & makes it great on medium house shots and shots where the mids are burnt. Always predictable off the pattern. Hope this helps. Good luck & welcome to Motiv-nation.

Keeping a higher angle sum and a 4.5 to 5" pin distance will keep you on the smoother end of things.

I used a higher angle sum and a close pin for ultimate control. I used this ball tonight on the Kegel "Middle of the road" pattern for the first 3 games and switched to an SR2 once they broke down and the line pushed deeper.

I find I use this QZ1Purple to hit the tough shots, but since it is so controlled it doesn't always take advantage of the bounce on house shots. That is where my SR2 comes in.
