Thinking about getting a Recon and putting the pin in the middle finger or putting it 1/2" up and 1/2" right of the middle finger. Has anyone drilled one like this and if so how do you like the reaction. I'm looking to use this to play up 5 and shot spares so I want it to be extremely mild.

I have one laid out with a 6" pin to pap, with the assumed MB to the right of my thumb by 1" or so. Very controlled, very mild. Arcing, smooth move off of the breakpoint; however, very sensitive to any midlane/backend oil. Likes to wiggle. I like it because it allows me to pipe the track during the late part of the night, when no one else can even touch this part of the lane. Here's a pic:
