Justin,
I'm wanting an overall strong reaction? You know my stats. When I drilled the gt1 and qz2 I changed the finger pitches to an 1/8 forward. I come out of the ball a lot faster and cleaner. I haven't done any more tapes to determine any changes but I suspect my ball speed is now up to about 18+. I'm thinking a 55x4.5x70. Suggestions?

55x45@4.75" P3 hole, for oil 1k or 2k Abralon. Otherwise box surface should suffice.

Funny, I think we are all going to be looking for layouts. Justin, I want to express my gratitude on your taking the time and your putting in all the effort to help those of us that request it. It means a lot. Seeing as how my pro shop guy is not familiar with this equipment, it helps to have your input for those of us looking for help.

Yeah he knows this stuff well. Mo Pinel on bowlerschat has a high respect for him as well. I've a few minutes to think about this layout. What's awesome is that I had a storm reign with a 55x4.625x45 and a p3 that I bowled my best series ever with. 791 with 299. Solid ten. If this works in any way how that reign did for me I know this just may put me there.

All I can hope is that people can strike a few more times a game.chadp223 wrote: What is OOB by the way? I tried a few surfaces, let me tell you 4k and double polish goes LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG.
I don't know exactly what the final surface is yet, but I'd hazard a guess it will be 2k and Power Gel.
This ball is remarkably receptive to surface changes. You can make it hook early or hook late based on what surface you choose.

Justin,
Just out of curiosity why did you recommend a larger pin to pap distance then the 4.5 pin on my qz2. In order to get a stronger reaction shouldn't I use a stronger pin distance to create more flare? Explanation would help me better understand your reasoning.

The differentials compare in this manner:
Thrust is .053, Quadfire is .043.
The .25" longer pin on the TV4 will still result in a stronger reaction. With your lower tilt I don't want the ball to burn too much energy too quickly. You have a stronger block and stronger cover, with a marginally weaker layout. This should make the reactions similar for the front 20 or so feet with the TV4 several boards stronger off the spot.
