I see everyone saying things like a P1,2,3,4 for location. How do you find were they are on a ball and what exactly does the placement do? It would be nice to know for the future when I get a new ball to help it work better.

There is a thread about 10 down from this one explaining the gradient line on symmetric balls and as you read it will say "projected psa" which is the location the mass bias marker would be on an asymmetric ball such as the cruel. The p1-p4 adjust the dynamics of the ball by changing the differential. P1 reduces dynamics by 20%, p2 virtually changes nothing on the ball other than brings it back into usbc specs., P3 increases by 20%, and p4 increases by 40%. The p1 stores energy and makes the ball reaction further down the lane, p3 causes earlier and smoother then the p1 and p2. The p4 creates the earliest and smoothest reaction, a total midlane reaction. Even though A ball with a p2 may cover more boards on that back part of the lane on a house shot then a p4, a p4 will pickup its roll earlier in the slop thus making the ball stronger. Justin may have some info to add or you can find on morichbowling.com or bowlingchat.net in the wiki link.
