Just looking for some feed back on strong layouts for the C51. About to drill one for my wife. She has Slow-Medium speed and is lower rev. PAP around 2 5/8" right and 1 1/2" up. Her Virtual Gravity is her favorite ball and it is 30 x 3 3/8 x 25. Not sure if the 40 x 4 x 40 will be strong enough with her low rev rate. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am just not very familiar with angles that work with Motiv cores. Thanks

Because of the core dynamics of the Cruel, you need to be extremely careful using strong patterns. I would recommend a 55x30@4.25". You can turn it up a little with a P3 or P4 hole if need be.

Ditto on Justin's recommendation. I drilled my first Cruel w/very aggressive layout & it did next to nothing because it used up all its energy in the first 30'. This ball has a strong core w/a strong wrapper so medium to mild drilling angles are most likely in order. Good Luck.

Thanks for the advice. Drilled the ball 45x4x40 after talking to a few of my guys that have the ball. We bowl on a 42 ft house shot that juices up the track area. This ball rolls great and hits like a truck. Much better than anything else in her bag. Will probably drill up another to go longer with more pop on the back end for when the lanes transition. This layout is a very heavy mid lane roll and the ball doesn't stop until it is off the pin deck. Great ball and we are both very happy with it. Hopefully I will get a video up of the ball soon.

You may want to consider a Primal for the longer and stronger compliment.

How about for faster ball speeds with low revs.Should I try a stronger layout for that? Just curious

Usually that would be a situation the Cruel responds well to. To give you a better idea of what layout to use, what are your specs?

Also my house shot is 40ft and pretty oily at times if that makes any difference, but there always more oil on the left right?
