What does this mean?? what does high differential do? high rg? low rg low diff?? what is considered high and what is considered low?? never was explained this stuff and was curious....

High RG - revs up later
Lower RG - revs up early

Low DIFF - reacts to the "dry" slower / softer
High DIFF - reacts to the "dry" faster / harder

This is the rule I have always used when drilling my stuff, seems to work pretty good - hopefully Justin will chime in...

It's difficult to explain without writing a book, but Brian summed it up easy without going into to much detail.

RG stands for Radius of Gyration.
The differential is what the difference is between the low RG swing and the High RG swing.

In my world I consider high RG from 2.60 and up, low RG as below 2.50. Basically if the pin is on your axis its at it's lowest RG (spinns the fastest) if the pin is 6 3/4 from your axis its in the cores highest RG point (spinning the slowest). Kind of like ice skaters when they have there arms out then pull them in and spin like crazy.

Example:
RX1 Silver RG=2.59 Diff=.025

If I drilled an RX1 silver with the pin on my axis the RG of the ball would be 2.59, the ball would rev up quick but since the core is balanced it wouldn't flare. If I drilled the ball 6 3/4 from my axis it would be in it's highest RG 2.615. The ball would have the tendency to lope down the lane, and not spin up very fast. Leverage is right in between 3 3/8 from your axis.
