We are getting a Primal and Cruel for our shop to drill with Switch grips as a "Try before you buy." I plan to leave these at box finish. Is there a standard layout for the "masses" that will play well for most bowlers? We have a slightly wetter condition on our THS, and we also run Kegel patterns on our Sport League. I plan to use a drill angle layout using a PAP of 5 over 0 up/down. If anyone has a suggestion please give me the angles and pin distance.

In my opinion, a test ball should be fairly strong to showcase the unique properties of the core and the cover; something like 50 by 4.5 or 5 inches by 45. My sweet spot happens to be 45 by 5 by 40' so some demo ball layouts give me a very clear picture of a ball's ability. Good luck!

I drill the sets of balls used in the test drive events.
For the Cruel put the pin over the ring finger, and the MB in or very near the thumb. This layout has responded very well to different people at the test drive.
For the Primal, place the pin just above and to the right of the ring finger, kick the cg out about 2", and place a 7/8" hole 5" over 1/2" up deep enough to get it legal.
