My new cruel was drilled 50 x 4/5-8 x 50... pin is up just above ring finger ... med to med high revs and it does not have any backed....left at factory finish. I do not want to plug and redrill... should I try a hole and diff finish? Bowling in med conditions... love how it comes off my hand, but just does not move.....

P1 and Polish is about all you'll be able to do without a redrill.

Thanks Justin. The ball absolutely finishes off the pins whenever i was able to get it into the pocket, but I was getting all the hand I could into it to get it there from ten to five with the cruel, but at 17 out to five with my Noize. Would I be better served to try the hole and alter the finish, or just plug and redrill the cruel. If redrill, what would u suggest... move the pin closer to the pap and try something more like a 70 x 20? Thanks

I'd hazard a guess your pin is over the ring like you said, and the PSA oval is near to the right of the thumbhole. What you have is a drilling angle that is too small, creating a strong midlane read with little finish. This is the most common scenario I have seen with the Cruel not performing to expectation.

Your best bet will be to plug it, and redrill with a 60x20@3.5", throw it before placing a hole. You will most likely be happy with the reaction and place a P2 hole, if you want it to be a bit smoother place a P3. A re-drill is your best option.

Generally, to the right of the thumb. This is completely dependent upon your axis point.

same situation for me. Could you suggest a drilling pattern for me. 14-15mph, low revs.

Are you redrilling a Cruel or starting from scratch?
