I'm bowling in the Green Mountain Open this weekend, and have had conflicting reports of friction and oil so I'll be prepared for anything with this setup. Listed from strongest to weakest.

TV4: 65x65@4 3/8" P3 Hole 500/2k
TR2: 50x65@4 5/8" 1k
C51LE: 70x70@5" No Hole 2k
SR2 Strong: 70x40@4" No Hole 2k
QZ2 Benchmark: 55x20@2 1/2" P3 2k/PG Polish
SR2 Flip: 65x35@5 7/8" No Hole 2k/PG Polish
GT1 80x25@3 1/4" No Hole 1k/PG Polish
QZ2 Long: 65x70@5 1/2" No Hole 4k/PG Polish
RX1O: 65x70@5 1/2" No Hole 4k

Any glaring holes that you can see?

The surface is at 500 with 2k over top, a quite more leveraged pin, and a hole that moves the PSA towards the VAL. If I try to crank up the Cruel block with surface and pattern, the block just burns up with my rev rate.

looks great top to bottom , one thing I notice is pin placement ,you have most pindown. For a fairly high rev rate do you encounter burnout?and what would pin down do. For a med speed\rev guy like me? I've never tried a pin down.

Clearly you have your collective $hite in order; it would take me close to 12 balls to cover the spectrum you have in 9. Well done.

Must be in the midst of converting oval angle or thumb pitch? Were pink slugs on sale? lol

Good luck; my guess is that if there is a bunch of oil early, there will be enough guys throwing Nanos out to sponge it up (after that is where some guys get lost); then its a horse race for guys who'll know how to manage friction. That is a much different skill than hooking it in the puddle.

With your rev rate, that much friction will be like bumper bowling from like 6th arrow or what not.

I threw most of these balls tonight on the nats pattern, and I will be changing some things around tomorrow. A couple surface adjustments and a ball or 2 to swap out.

The Primal and TR2 were close, I'll take the TR2 to 500/2k and drop the Primal in favor of an SR2 at 1k.

The benchmark QZ2 needs a tweak of the thumb.

The strong SR2 was amazing.

The GT1 and flip SR2 weren't quite enough.

I think 2 more SR2 swapped out might be the ticket.

Converting to 1/8 Forward and 1/8 Left. I was 1/8 Reverse and 1/8 left.

Can now easily locate my balls. And I usually will change to all one color each time I make a significant change. The length QZ2 and RX1O automatically have the new pitch in them cause I punched them this week.

Pin down has a reputation for "rolling early", this is COMPLETELY untrue and the opposite of what happens in reality. Pin down= larger VAL angle, which transitions slower. This is a more even and more continuous shape. Pin up transitions faster, which can lead to "quitting" on the backend.

Have you found that your rev rate has increased since adding forward to pitch thumb?
I know that it has done wonders for mine. The tighter I can keep my thumb, the more relaxed my hand, the better roll I can produce with neither squeeze nor hit on the ball. This may seem fundamental to most good players, but it has been an epiphany for me lo these last three seasons. Had I the knowledge gained in the past three years back when I was younger, stronger, healthier (and without kids-ier), I probably would have been somewhat successful in singles tournaments. Oh well, this way, I get to have fun in league, run my center, and attempt to pass on my knowledge to others. On a bight note, my 17 month old son bowled his 5th complete game today. He hasn't decided if he's going righty or lefty yet, but I'm pretty sure his first ball will be a Motiv!

Not sure on the rev rate, but it gives me a softer hand and more room for foul line adjustments. Less squeeze and grip pressure is always good.
