Pro shop recieved my replacement Primal and punched it up today (as per your recommendation, Justin). I didn't have a chance to practice with it before subbing in a league tonight but decided to use it anyway.
Wow, what difference! Struggled the first game with speed consistency and had 4 splits as a result...shot 180. Settled down in the 10th of that game and shot 215 the second and 265 the third for a 660 series.
Was sliding 17, rolling the ball over 10 out to 7 on a fresh Bourbon Street pattern. Granted, this isn't the most challenging of patterns but the Primal was amazing.
Thanks, Justin, for all the work and advice in finally getting this ball set up for me.

Nice shooting and good to see the Primal working well for you now with the new layout.

Justin,
I got my LE redrilled 50x35@4 as you suggested. Cover is at 2k, no polish. It's rolling pretty good but a little weaker than I expected. I need a weight hole for legality. Can you explain to a dummy what effect would a P1 vs a P3 have on it?
Thanks in advance for your time and trouble.

Weaker where? In what part of the lane are you looking for more reaction, the front or back?

I love you, Justin. lol You always have a question that I'm not sure how to answer.
My perception of "weak" stems from having to play the LE 3-4 boards tighter than my Primal when I would expect the LE to hook more.
If I play the Primal down the boards over 8 for a flush hit, I have to target 11 or 12 with the LE. Now, if I do that, the LE holds the line and hits the pocket hard. I just expected the LE to move more than that.

It sounds like you are seeing the Primal retain more energy and backend harder, and the LE hooking earlier and smoother. I'd place a P1 hole, see how the reaction changes and we can go from there.

Thanks again.

Pro shop was closed yesterday. When I explained what we wanted today, my ball driller asked me to throw a dozen shots for him first. His assessment is that the LE is moving well enough on the back end but isn't starting as early as my Primal. He recommends a P3 but I held off to see what you think, Justin.
As always, thanks for the help.
