After doing up 5 LE for folks this past week, I have seen these trends:

They like drilling angles between 55 and 65, VAL angles between 40 and 55, and pin distances of 4.5-4.75. No holes to start.
They have shown to hook quite a bit, be continuous, and deal with higher volumes a touch sooner at 1k.

P3 holes tame the backend, I haven't had to place any P1 holes yet.

I also haven't tried one really shiny either.

Sand one to 4000, then polish. You will be impressed with
the reaction you get.

I did 4k and PG Polish in the video, and it responded to friction pretty quickly.

I drilled mine today 60 by 40 by 4"' with a P1 hole 7/8 by 2 1/2 deep.
This is my fav benchmark layout, and it confirmed what I suspected about the LE.
I don't bowl on enough oil to tame this beast. Sheesh!

Drilled mine 60x45@4.5 last night and for a guy with low revs, holy cow. Track flares about 8+" every shot, and the more I lift, the harder it breaks. Very predictable line, even as the lanes broke down. I think Motiv is going to have to remove the "limited edition" tag from this ball eventually, there's no way they can let this one go...=)

With those guidelines is the layout you gave me still applicable i only ask because of the pin to pap.

Go 55x40@3.75 P3 hole. If you want to use it in oil, hit it with 1k.

Sorry for the delayed response, I was away from a PC all weekend.

Use 4.5", glad you double checked.

I try to get these layouts figured out as soon as possible, but sometimes you have to see a few drilled before you can really dial it in.

What type of layout would you recommend using the following information:

Bowl right handed ( synth/wood)
Speed at the monitor: 14.5avg
Axis Tilt: 10*
Axis Rotation: 45* - 55*
Rev rate: 300-325
PAP: 4 1/2 x 3/4up

Thank you. I have followed your comments since the insertion of this forum. Your knowledge about dual angle is impressive. Keep up the good work.

Efrain
