 Post subject: QZ-1 drilling help

haven,t decided red or purple yet but going to pick one of them up this week
I am a high rev med speed player

looking for suggestions want to ball to be smooth and not act like it has been kicked left off the dry

RX-1 is drilled pin above ring small weight hole

What ever drill you end up choosing, mess with the surface to fine tune it for a smoother reaction. I ended up taking mine down to 1000 grit then put polish back on it to smooth out the reaction for sport shots. I've even gone as far as 600 grit polished to 1000 grit wet sanded. Mine is red, drilled with a Reco layout.

For more control, pick up a Purple. They roll superb with a control layout for heavy handed players. I drilled a purple for the QZ1 video, and still use it today as my benchmark.

so use the same type drilling you used on your purple for heavy handed bowlers?

You could use that layout, or substitute your favorite control drill.
