I could use some input for my thoughts on the new arsenal. Here is what I am coming up with so far:

50*x40*x4.5" - Raptor or Cruel
60*x40*x3.5" - Sigma Tour
70*x35*x4.75" - QZ2 Backdraft

This is just a start. I can fill in the gaps as I go.
I bowl on everything and anywhere no prefences here.
My specs are in my sig.
Your suggestions and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

May suggest a Recon Silver for when they get really toasty. Possible layout of 65x4.5x45. You have a really good rev rate so may even go 70 or 75 on the drilling angle. Hope it works for ya'.

Is the Recon Silver really that clean through the fronts?
The drilling angle of 70 sounds good. That would get the total of the angles up to 115 creating some nice length.
Thanks Bob

Remember the drilling angle for symmetrical balls is insignificant to reaction and doesn't count towards angle sums or ratios.

If you do a Cruel try not to use a drilling angle smaller than 60*, the Raptor at 50* is ok if you are looking for a smoother read.

These look good, the SigT will be strong and even.

I would definitely agree with Mick that a Recon would be the next logical step underneath the Backdraft. Being speed dominant you could do a QZ2 with a long pin and large VAL angle for a smooth read, but with the lower absorption shell the Recon is the choice for dirt.

Justin...thanks for chiming in..
Normally I would use 80* drilling angles with my stronger equipment and tweak the surface until I got the look. Unfortunately I didn't have a good look on the fresh and through early transition. I watched some of the videos on the cruel and felt the motion through the 2nd transition was what I didn't have. That's why I was pondering over the lower drilling angles but I wasn't sure how strong the core/cover combination was on the cruel.
One of my favorite layouts on asymmetrical cores is 80*x35*x3" but I wanted to keep this option as a transition layout.
Thanks, I really appreciate all the ideas and thoughts.

The Cruel has very elliptical contours based on its extreme asymmetry. This means the axis precession acceleration will happen very very quickly once the PAP reaches the pin to spin line. Often this creates transitions that happen too fast in rev dominant players with drilling angles less than 60*. A Cruel will behave completely differently than any other ball on the market right now.
