I drilled my dads other Razyr with the plastic ball layout and took some video. One is with the CG in the center of the grip, and the other is with the PB layout. I'm thinking of drilling a short pin RX1 with this layout. Check it out.

P.S. My dads shot making is so so, but you will see the increase in backend and over all hook.

That is more than just a slight difference.

Do you remember Mo's numbers for the increase in differential?

BTW, what would be the purpose or condition that would require an RX1 with this drilling? Wasn't this specifically designed with a pancake weight block in mind?

Thanks.

Check out the link. I would like to see what it would do just for kicks. In the video all I needed was a 1/2 inch hole 1 inch deep to make it legal.

"An additional benefit is that this drilling increases performance of ALL pin in, low differential balls, such as entry level urethane and reactive resin balls. Some of the balls that this layout works well on are pin in (pins out less than 1”) versions of Brunswick’s New Slingshot, Brunswick’s Avalanche, Ebonite’s Tornado, the original Hammer designs, and all pin in balls with total diffs. of less than .039”." --- Mo Pinel

This is going to sound a bit odd but we are going to take his cg in palm ball to 1000 polished and keep the PBL ball at 2000 polished. He wants the ball to read smooth at the start (cg in palm ball) but when it breaks down the 2000 polish will get the length with the extra horsepower to take the corner better, and have the same overall reaction.

Check out the link. It's fascinating how much more differential it creates. Basically it creates a bit of Mass bias and helps the ball flare a bit more. It's crucial to get the statics weights just under 1oz an no more.
