I've got a new RX1 sitting in the pro shop that I haven't had drilled yet, and was wondering if i should change the surface or not. Really i am looking for a straighter ball. but i don't want to mess up a good thing

I'm going to pick my RX1 up tomorrow. can't wait I wish i had it today. I went and bowled on some dry lanes with my GT1 and TR2 and really wanted to see how it was going to react

I just drilled my RX-1 strong last week & obviously it is not as weak as I thought. When I played it on the fresh THS it was only a few boards differences than the SX-1 or TX-1 but the backend hitting power wasn't as strong as the SX-1 or TX-1. When the lane became dry & carried down I still needed to move left to play the RX-1 but the only different is that the RX-1 would have a very wide pocket & stronger backend hitting power than the SX-1 or TX-1 at this stage.

So I would say that RX-1 is not a weak ball but it can clean through the dry without giving away the backend hitting power.
