my vertical pap is 1/1/2 up and all the pins end up 1 inch up from my fingers because I also have a short span of 3 6/16 cut to cut. question; is with my pins so high on the ball does it make it hard for me to get some balls to rev up. or does it make no difference.

ok...so what is your question here?
Badbeard....what is keeping you pins so high is your VAL angle is very little, which equates to a very fast revving, transitioning very quick ball motion....which is probably why they seem to labor on the backends. My thought would be to do something like a 60 x 4" x 50 and see if you see any difference in ball motion, tweak the surface alittle to tune....let us know how it goes...
