That is the VAL angle, and it controls the second transition. Larger VAL angle = longer transition. Smaller VAL angle = shorter transition. Longer transition = smoother, more continuous motion. Shorter transition = sharper, quicker turn but not as continuous. This is part of why long pins and small VAL angles result in forward roll off the spot.

I would tweak the layout a bit...

After doing up 5 LE for folks this week, I have seen these trends:

They like drilling angles between 55 and 65, VAL angles between 40 and 55, and pin distances of 4.5-4.75. No holes to start.
They have shown to hook quite a bit, be continuous, and deal with higher volumes a touch sooner at 1k.

That being said, I would use a 55x40@4.5".

well that kinda sucks, I already had it drilled 55x25@3.5 with a p2 hole. Just that the p2 hole looks huge. It's 1 1/4" dia. x 2 1/2" deep. Should I have it plugged and redrilled?

55x25@3.5" isn't a bad layout, it is just not as strong as the 55x45@4.25".

With the original Cruel the absorption and Ra matched up with the 60x20 layouts the best. With the LE, the cover tweaks give the ball a different sweet spot, it can accommodate stronger drills and not quit. This is completely a function of the different core cover matchups of the two balls.

As for the hole, I can't imagine why you would possibly need a 1.25" hole 2.5" deep. The P2 position is neutral, all you are going for is static legality.

Have you thrown the ball yet?

yes. It's not as angular and hook as much as I thought it would. My cruel c51 is 15lb. I was going to get another c51, but 14lb., so I could get more speed(13mph), when the LE came out. Why not get an LE 14lb. I did. I do like the 14lb. weight better and getting more speed(14-15mph) As for the p hole, I gave the layout to my pro that I got from you. I've never had a ball with a p hole. All I can do is trust my pro shop, that sells motiv. bewildered?

I tried to add photo I took, It won't except my attachment. I don't know how to do it? It looks pretty much the same as the ball with that layout in your video. The mb is 1 1/8" to the right from the center of the thumb hole, the pin is 1 3/4" to the right of ring finger hole, about level with the top of the finger hole. the large p hole is 4" up center to center of the thumb hole, I think just below my pap. the white dot(cg?) is 1 1/2" to the left of the center of the p hole. whatever
