It's that time again to come up with another layout for the few Sigma Tour's that I'll be getting in a few weeks.

As you know, one is going to be 2"-3" and the other 3"-4" for the PIN.

What's your idea and suggestion on how I should layout the balls? I probably won't get both drilled up right away. As far as personal preference or what I would like to see from both of these is for one to be strong and the other to be just a bit weaker.

But as usual, I trust you and I take whatever you say into consideration cause you have always been spot on with all of my other balls and everything has always been exactly what I wanted out of the ball.

Let me know what the mad scientist can come up with for these...

I know that we talked about the layout for one of my Sigma Tour balls last night and you gave me the suggestion of something with at least 5.75" from PIN to PAP and then at least 35° for the VAL angle.

I assume if I would want this thing to be really strong, then I could maybe look at doing something like 65x35@5.75"?

SigT #1:
50x35@5.75" No Hole

SigT #2:
40x40@3" P3 hole next to the thumb. Probably 1k Abralon for those tight shots.

Thank you for the layout suggestion for both and the only problem now is that I actually measured my PAP again today cause I felt that it had changed and it did by just a bit.

I went from it being 3 3/4" right - 1 1/4" down to now being 2 1/2" right - 2 1/4" down.

I'm not sure how much this is going to change my layout, but I figured it would change your suggestion on this most likely... I guess just let me know when you get a chance.

By the way, going from what I had to the new PAP. What does that really mean? I would assume that means that I lost rotation that I had on the ball, right?

PAP is not an indicator of how the ball rolls, it is simply the initial rotating axis. Tilt and rotation are the key elements.

Also when figuring PAP keep in mind the more dynamic balls will change it a bit. Measure across a few balls before making any drastic changes. Recons and QZ2s will modify the PAP less than the asymmetrical balls.

I was able to just use my SX1 today to measure the PAP, but I can go up there tomorrow with some other balls.

What do you think the best would be to test across from what I have right now?

I actually tested out my whole PAP again with the Recon and then just your typical white dot spare ball.

The PAP stayed the same across the SX1, Recon, and white dot spare ball and now I am at 2 1/2" right - 2 1/4" down!

Kind of different from before, but it's all good! I just now need to measure all of my current balls to see what I am looking at now and if a possible plug and drill will be in order.

It's that time again that I'll be getting a few new toys towards the end of this month with my 2 ball Primal Impulse pack!

The updated info on my PAP and all that good stuff is listed below for you to give me some good layouts that you think would work great for me.

What do you think?
