Justin - I see you have a TR2 that is dull w/pin & cg stacked under ring finger and another TR2 shiny w/pin above mid-finger w/cg at approx. 45 degree angle. Please give me a comparison on how the 2 react. Thanx!
The first TR2 I drilled was the shiny one, its a 70x50 5 3/8. I'm always nervous around strong balls because of my hand so I went with a weaker layout and shiny surface. It clears the heads, starts up and finishes very nicely strong and smooth. Best look I had with it was on the Kegel Highway to Hell pattern on AMF SPL synthetics.
The other one I still don't know where I'll throw it, it is that strong at 800. For me, it flares 9 inches. I will probably try it at 4000 to see what happens, but I was planning on this one being an Oil ball for tournaments, or if i need some lane management. It is one of those balls that I have and rarely will use, but when I can I'll have a sweet look.
I am playing with surfaces and being slightly experimental to learn as much about how these balls react as possible.
I will have a video up soon that will be a more thorough comparison of the balls. I'm still having some trouble finding a center that will help me out and lay down some different patterns for videos.
