RP2 wouldn't be a bad idea.

The primary issue is, ANY polyester made in the USA is going to cost more, period. A block in a poly ball would definitely fill a niche, as well as help justify some added expense.

Manufacturing domestically you simply can't compete with the overseas pricing, this is a very unfortunate fact.

Regarding cost, I spent about $140 for the XXXL Stardust and it's payed me back in tournaments (cashing) and league. The second game I rolled was a 280. After that It made scene why it was so much. I think when people start using a Motiv plastic with a core they will not only have a unique piece with Neomark graphics, but a ball that can be used on some of the driest lanes and run circles around all the others. Their is nothing like ripping the cover off that XXXL playing the gutter, and crushing the pocket. While secretly chuckling as the others in my sport league are scratching their heads trying to make reactives hit the pocket consistently. So far in my PBAX league 5 nights of using only plastic and urethane, 197 average (even after a really bad night). When they ask what I'm using I say my plastic ball, and they feel like an idiot for getting beat with plastic. Again I state that Motiv will be the only ball manufacture PBA Grassroots approved with a cored plastic ball.

All that being said I can't wait for the RX1, I have some evil plans in store for that orange monster.

Excited,

Michael

Keep in mind that this ball will no only be advertised as a spare ball but also as an addition as a possible strike ball. I think a video of this balls on Motiv's page with a rev dominate player using it as a strike ball would get the point across to the skeptical. Maybe a video with different surfaces and lane conditions would be a good idea as well. In fact I think that's a great idea for all of the motiv balls.

How about naming the new plastic ball " The Cleaner"? You know like a clean game, or cleaning up the left over pins. Just a thought...lol.

Well, it seems that they're getting away from the whole Letter-number stuff and giving an actual name for the bowling balls, like Recon and Cruel. I personally get annoyed when people are talking about dirtbikes/quads and using those pseudonims all the time. My buddy was getting annoyed one night when me and Joel Ray were talking about Motiv balls, and he was like, "don't these friggin balls have names??" So, personally, I like the idea of giving it an actual name.

I say they make it orange/white swirled and call it the Recon Corner Killer!

Are ya gonna call it by the name anyways? I use a Storm Ice for my spareball, and I've never called it the ICE. It's my spareball.

I can tell I'm trying to discuss this with ball-drillers. :) The average bowler won't know what the hell you're talking about. Hell.... I don't know what you're talking about. Ha ha I think it won't be until they're out of the grassroots stage before we even see a spareball, probably. There's no need for one right now, except for the reps out there bowling for Motiv in Regionals. You should have 9 Motiv balls with you, not 8 Motiv balls and 1 other kind of Spare ball.
