Not that I believe so strongly that we need one, but if so, why not a Recon core in a poly cover that is the bright, electric blue that the SigT logo contains?
I don't know if the technology for the NeoMarks is applicable to polyester, but bright blue ball with black/white logos would be kinda cool.
It would just most likely be a 90 to 110 dollar spare ball, thats all.

I find it interesting how the majority relate the term "spare ball" to a plastic ball.... why? With todays technology with reactive covers i'm positive the scientists could make a cover that skided for 60 feet even on a dry lane.
What are the attributes for a spare ball? - A completely predictable reaction regardless of lane condition. - Preferably as straight as possible. mmm, out of attributes.... I personally don't consider cheap to be an attribute when sparing is a critical component of scoring well when you can't string strikes. Predictability has to be the major consideration in selecting a "spare ball" even if it is designed to go straight.
Just make it a "reactive" cover that at 4000 polished OOB will skid forever with a basic/no core to remove core dynamics from the equations or have a simple core that allows you to drill for a slight reaction if desired.
Personally i would love to see a ultra clear ball with two hemispheres seperated by motive graphics.

dbrown wrote: I like the idea of a spare ball. But you have to stay true to your motiv logo. Green. Sorry I would like it to be another color but green is there main stay and a clear ball with a big geen motiv logo in the center would be sweet. ??? Orange and Black with white lettering!!!! I don't know of any other ball company that is "soooo" identified with certain colors. I believe moving away from the "ORANGE & BLACK" would be a horrible move...it's how people know I'm MOTIVATED! That and this is the only equipment I use. (Recon RX1 drilled flat and polished for my spare ball) Thanks, Ed
