Hi,
I got some drilling angles from you for my Cruel LE and TZ3, I also plan on purchasing a Primal Impulse when available. I never ended up bowling at the center I originaly was going to use these balls. My new center is 41ft. Synthetics, but the volume especially up front is less. I have trouble getting the ball down the lane without over reacting (lots of splits), if I try to move more inside, there still doesn't seem to be enough hold or more oil to hold my line. I tried my Recon Silver, Cruel and Hy-Road, all drilled pretty strong. They overreact and also leave a lot of 7-pins when thrown wide.
Here are the angles you gave me for each: LE: 55x40@2.75" P3 hole. This one is set up to retain tilt a long time, you might need a touch of surface to make everything happen before it hits the pocket.
TZ3: 50x35@4.75", place a hole after you throw it. This one is set up to retain energy to come off the end of the pattern strong.
I hoping the Cruel Le wouldn't be too strong for this house, but I was thinking a Sigma Tour might work better.
Here are my stats: Lefty PAP: 5 3/8" over 5/8" up Axis Tilt: 5-6* Axis Rotation: 40-55* Speed: 14.75-15.25 mph RPM's: 300-325
Thanks again,

Based on your stats & what you've said about the conditions you bowl on, if you go w/Sigma Tour then I suggest a long Pin/PAP, 5"-5 1/2" distance to get it down the lane. May even consider below the fingers to reduce the snap on the w/e. The ST will get you good length w/box finish so you concern should be the back half of the mid's & the b/e. Just drilled a ST for a lefy @ my center last nite & he said . . "I want snap" . . I gave him snap. I've never seen a lefty that far right on my THS swinging the entire lane. He loved it but that is the look he wanted. Good Luck!

The layouts are still matched up to your specs, surface adjustments will match the balls to the pattern you bowl on.
The LE should work well, it will probably need some shine.

Try it out of box first, that short of a pin will retain tilt pretty deep into friction. Always try box surfaces before changing too much.

Thanks, I was going too till after I throw it. I agree, box surface might be enough too hold it in line. P3 hole will be 3" deep 1" diameter? I'm new to the Gradient line drilling.

Throw it before placing the hole, and start small. The impact of the hole increases with size. If you are happy with the read place a P2.
