Bowler Information: PAP: 5 3/8" over 5/8" up Ball Speed: 15-15.5 mph Rev Rate: 325 Tilt: 5-6* Rotation: 40-45*
Ball Information: Make and Model of ball: Thrash Weight: 15lbs. 1oz. Desired reaction shape: Get through the heads with stronger motion on backend when needed.
Environment information: What conditions you intend to use the ball on: 41ft. THS Lane surface, if known: Newer Brunswick synthetics and older AMF synthetics. The place with the Brunswick lanes tends to have a bit more friction up front, I have had good success with my TZ3 and a mildly drilled Storm Tropical Breeze there. Need a compliment to those.
Conditioner, if known: Kegal

60x55@5.25", no hole to start. Might need some PG Polish to encourage a bit of angularity, there is a strong cover on the Thrash.

Thanks again Justin. I'll try it at the OOB finish first, then see if it needs a some PG polish. JustinWi wrote: 60x55@5.25", no hole to start. Might need some PG Polish to encourage a bit of angularity, there is a strong cover on the Thrash.

Justin, The layout you gave me would have put the pin right between my finger bridge, so we tweaked your layout a bit and ended up with: 50x70@5.25"
The pin ended up just below my fingers, which always worries me because of my higher track.
What do you think? I think it should be fine, it's a layout I don't have on any of my other stuff.

Remember, as a check, you can verify ahead of time where your bow-tie will be: draw a line from your PAP thru the pin. Where that line intersects your track will be the center of the bow-tie. If you track close to the fingers, and the bow-tie is not 'above' the finger holes (meaning farther away from your grip center line than the finger holes), the last couple of flare tracks will most likely roll over your finger hole (or holes). Easy to check before putting holes in a ball.

Thanks for the response, but I watching Justin's video and the last Thrash that he throws is drilled 75x65@5". You can see it at the 1:46 mark of the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otc4HT6z5aQMine layout looks very similar to his except my cg is kicked out a bit more and there's a weight hole drilled down the VAL at an angle to move my track away from the center. I'll attach a pic later. His PAP: 5 over 1/2 up Mine: 5 3/8 over 5/8 up His tilt: 8* Mine: 6* So not that far off. If you draw a line from his PAP thru the pin his "bow-tie" will obviously be below his fingers. Maybe he doesn't track that close to his fingers but I like to see Justin he has to say about this. I'm going to be able to throw the ball tomorrow, so I'll let you know what happens. plamormick wrote: Remember, as a check, you can verify ahead of time where your bow-tie will be: draw a line from your PAP thru the pin. Got to throw the ball today, no problem with rolling over my track at all. Didn't even come close. Ball rolls really well with great continuation as advertised!
