Hi MOTIVnation.

Just so I have a bit better understanding.
Pin placement after drilling dual angle layout.
If you drill the same dual angle layout on
2 ball with say a 2" pin & 1 with a 4" pin.
I would asume depending on layout used
that 1 ball would be pin under & 1 be pin over
the fingers.
What differences in ball reaction would there be?
Given they are thrown on the same lane the same day.

Hybrid coverstocks.
With the new 2 Cruel to be released & also the
Sigma Hybrid & Backdraft.
The balls are a mix of 2 colours.
I remember someone mentioning to me that one
colour is a solid & the other a pearl.
Or is it the whole ball is a hybrid mix??
Also is there, could there, would there !!!!!!
Be any chance of a Sigma Pearl??

Cheers Peter

Pin up layouts would give you more length and in most cases a stronger backends reaction! Pin under makes the ball usually read sooner resulting in a much smoother ball motion and sometime a "arching" angle!

For the example you have stated, the only difference would be the location of the pin in relation to the PAP. A 2-inch pin-PAP would be closer to the PAP obviously, but ultimately isn't what makes it pin-up or down.

What makes a dual angle drilling "pin-up" versus "pin-down" is the angle to the VAL. A small VAL angle will be higher in relation to the grip as compared to a larger VAL angle. It depends on your PAP what angle will give you a "pin-up" or "pin-down" drilling.

actually to clear this up are you referencing pin distance to the cg or to the bowlers pap because that will largely effect how you can layout a ball. if you have a 1 or 2 inch pin you are really limited on the layouts you can do with your val angle and pin distances from pap WITHOUT using a weight hole.
