Has anyone loved the sigma tour but hated the hybrid? I see all the posts on the tour but the hybrid and I jus never got along. Also, ive never thrown a sigma but I do have a thrash and i think that ball is the best piece I have thrown from motiv. It is my benchmark ball and bails me out of everything! I feel the thrash to me is what all the hype the sigma gets.

It is just the opposite for me. I love the Sigma Tour & have not thrown the Thrash very well. I do not seem to match up well w/that core. If you haven't thrown a ST you are really missing out. As far as the Sigma Hybrid is concerned, it needs ALOT of head oil due to the strength of the coverstock. I did shoot 299 - 730 at our State Tourney with the Hybrid. We are putting out the Dick Weber pattern next week in our PBA Sport League & that pattern has alot of oil up front so I am looking forward to throw the Hybrid. If no luck, then I can go to the 2Cruel which is a super ball.

Best of luck & do yourself a favor & try a Sigma Tour.

I have both the Thrash and the Sigma Tour. I agree that the thrash is a great piece. The smooth reaction on the backend makes it versatile on a multitude of conditions. I love my sigma tour, however, i dont see enough head oil to really use the ball effectively. So the hybrid takes a backseat. I think a lot of bowlers see the same situation. Which is why you heard a lot of hype for the raptor and raptor attack and once the ball were released the noise kind of died down. Not that the balls werent great, but theamount of head oil to throw those pieces are almost nonexistent. Just my observations.

I actually have trouble even throwing a sigma tour because of how forward my release is. I absolutely love the thrash and backdraft and now the 2 cruel they just suit my game better because they naturally clear the front part of the lane for me.
