I am bowling a sweeper tournament this weekend and the oil pattern is Viper. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice as to how to attack the pattern/ball choice. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

for my PBA experience league, it played pretty open, lots of friction. id use stuff that doesnt go sideways, for sure gonna need to chase it inside. id use mid-low performance stuff to control the breakpoint. just my opinions on the pattern. others may have different opinions.

ultimately where you start depends upon the lane surface that you are bowling on. i have had all three experiences with viper where you start playing out and have to make a huge jump inside, you start playing in and migrate left as it breaks down and where you start out and play out for the duration of the block. it all depends on lane surface and how many games you are bowling in the block.
