Im going to be getting a new raptor talon (15 lbs.) and I didnt know how I should get it drilled. I want the ball to be aggressive but still controllable and smooth rolling. What would be a good layout for this? And what would be a good pin and top weight when ordering the ball? Or do you have any other good layouts for something else?
Speed is usually around 17-19 mph Rev Rate is low to mid 300s

3-4" pin, 3oz top. Go 60x50@4 for a strong controlled read.

It is a combination of ball characteristics, known successful layouts, and bowler specs. I get asked all the time how I come up with layouts. There really is no formula. I'm not trying to be vague, but after doing it for 10 years you just know what needs to happen I guess.
